Volunteers sought to help bring school/community
garden to fruition
April 10, 2009 - The Garden Project Committee needs volunteers from late
April through October to help plant, weed, water, harvest, prepare and
deliver produce to St. Matthew's and Voorheesville's school cafeterias.
The entire community is invited to help make the garden a reality.
No gardening experience is
necessary; enthusiasm is always welcome.
A master gardener will be on-site to help throughout the planting
process. A notebook will also be available in the garden that clearly
specifies instructions. Additionally, a garden committee representative
is always just a phone call away.
To sign-up, please e-mail your name, phone number, and when (specific
days or weeks and times) you'd like to volunteer to
vvillegarden@gmail.com.
Once you have been scheduled, the garden committee will confirm the date
and time(s) with you and send a reminder as the date approaches. It's
that simple!
Thanks for helping the garden grow and providing a valuable service to
your community.
