held in conjunction with the Fun Festival.
Blackbird Paradise Garden
One of our most recent and proudest additions is
our school and community garden. Students, teachers, families,
community members, and master gardeners work together to plant,
maintain, and harvest this garden. It offers teachers and students
(and the rest of us) many opportunities for learning!

We award scholarships for students to attend one

Hospitality
The PTA provides refreshments for the fifth- and
eighth-grade graduations.

We purchase supplies and flowers for landscaping
projects around the schools.

We fund a team of middle school students to
participate in the FIRST Lego League competition. FIRST is a
robotics company that incorporates problem-solving, science and
engineering.

Voorheesville students in kindergarten through middle school.
Students engage in long term and short term problem solving as
groups, and share their results at a regional competition.

sent home to encourage parents and children in the elementary school
to read together for at least 15 minutes each day for 20 days during
the month. Parents initial the days they read and prizes (books) are
given to those who turn in their completed forms.

We provide funds and volunteers to help maintain
the playground at the elementary school.
