November 5, 2009
MS and HS "A" Day

Lunch: Chicken Nuggets, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Fresh Fruit, Milk

Soup of the Day: Chicken Dumpling

All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students participating in the junior high Cabaret Jazz Ensemble will have a mandatory rehearsal today from 2:30 to 3:25 in the LGI.

Hudson Valley is having an Instant Admission Day today starting at 9:00. If you would like to meet with the representative, please go to the high school Guidance Office sometime today.

The high school Computer Lab will be closed periods 7, 8 and 9 today.

The middle school Computer Lab will be closed after school today.

Girls modified Soccer will meet in Mrs. Burgoon's room after school today to drop off jerseys.

Writers Club will meet today after school in the middle school computer room.

Builders Club is sponsoring a NEW winter hat, scarf, and mitten drive to benefit the families of Parson’s Child & Family Center. Hats, scarves, and mittens will be collected the month of November. Collection boxes are located in the middle and high school Foyers. Please consider donating a NEW hat, scarf, or pair of mittens to this important cause.

Attention boys in grades 6th, 7th and 8th. Are you interested in playing lacrosse for the Capital District Youth Lacrosse League's Voorheesville team but missed the registration dates? It's not too late to join one of the fastest games on two feet. Please see Mr. McPherson in Room 222 for a Lacrosse registration form.

Boys Swim try-outs will begin on Monday Nov. 9.

Are you interested in being entertained by some of Voorheesville's finest singers, dancers, and instrumentalists? Then come to the Cabaret this Saturday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the middle school Gym. Enjoy your favorite dessert as you listen to talented students perform their favorite numbers. Mrs. Heather Garvey whose voice is rumored to have the power of Mick Jagger, the soul of Aretha Franklin, and the smooth, silkiness of Ella Fitzgerald will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

Attention Sophomores: The Jostens class ring representatives will return next Tuesday, November 10th to take orders for your class ring. You may receive your Class of 2012 Hoodie when you place your order. Order packets are available in Room 129 with Ms. Lyons.

Soup of the Day: Beef Vegetable

The International Club will meet today at 2:30 in Room 151. Students planning to attend the France Exchange should attend with other club members.

United for Peace and Justice Club will meet today at 2:30 in Ms. Triller's room. All members should attend this important meeting to plan upcoming events.

There will be an important Historic Model UN meeting today after school in Mr. Lawrence's room. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Lawrence.

Schenectady County Community College is having an instant admission day today. Please stop by the high school Guidance Office if you would like to meet with the representative.
