Home and Career Skills 8, taught by Judy Zielinski


Course meets daily for 20 weeks.

Supplies:

Folder or 3-ring binder, paper, pen/pencil, sewing project to be purchased through school.

Classroom expectations:

  • Be on time or bring a pass.

  • Come prepared (no locker passes).

  • Be respectful and responsible.

Parent communication regarding progress:

Comments on progress reports and report cards if grade is not given.

Evaluation Methods:

Homework will be assigned occasionally. Any assignment not completed on time will have late points deducted. Point values vary. Sewing project will be graded. It will be worth 100 points. Some classwork assignments will be graded. Point values vary. There will be occasional quizzes, each worth 20 points. Assignments, projects and tests are averaged together and computed as 90% of the course grade. The other 10% of the course grade will be based on a student’s preparation for and behavior in class.

Extra help will be available after school or during study halls as long as prior arrangements are made and I am available.
